Beneath a cool duvet of sunny and cloudy skies, Toronto Playgrounds 11U prevailed 11-0 over the York 11U Grey River Dogs in a five inning Etobicoke Baseball Association (EBA) 11U Select Game this evening at Christie Pits Diamond 3.

After drawing a two out walk, River Dogs baserunner Xavier (54) made a bold as brass decision to steal second base. As Xavier charged towards second, TP 11U catcher Oliver L (27) made a lightning toss to second baseman Liam (10), who tagged out Xavier to ring up a pretty 4-3 putout.

With two outs, TP 11U second baseman Liam (10) tags out York 11U Grey baserunner Xavier (54) on a 2-4 putout that thwarted Xavier’s bid to steal second in the top half of the first inning.

Taking care of business, TP 11U starter Robbie (9) utilized a line out and a strikeout to pacify the River Dogs in the first frame.
Setting the tenor for the proceedings, TP 11U starter Robbie (9) quickly dispatched York 11U Grey with a line out and strikeout to end the River Dogs sedition in the first frame.
