Beneath a shimmering blanket of warm and hazy summer skies, the Toronto Playgrounds 10U ‘A’ defeated the Royal York 10U ‘A’ Cardinals 7-4 in a seven inning affair this afternoon at Woodbine Park to win the 2026 Kingston Thunder 10U ‘A’ Tournament Championship Game.

TP 10U ‘A’ began its journey at the Kingston tourney on Friday night with a slender tenderloin 6-5 victory over the Kingston Thunder T1.

With the wind in its sails, Toronto Playgrounds took no prisoners on Saturday morning as they rolled to a 13-1 win over the Orangeville Bengals to earn its second round robin game victory.

On Sunday morning, TP 10U ‘A’ grabbed the bull by the horns as they defeated the Bradford Tigers 12-6 to capture their third consecutive round robin game victory.

With an unblemished 3-0 record, TP 10U ‘A’ finished the round robin portion of the Kingston tourney as the second seed. As such, Toronto Playgrounds punched their ticket into the championship final, with a showdown for all the marbles against the top seeded Royal York Cardinals.

The Toronto Playgrounds Baseball Association (TPBA) wishes to congratulate Head Coach Tyler Levine; Assistant Coaches Mark Fleming; Jesse Kugler and Nick Rijneke; Team Manager Dave Tompa; and the players of the TP 10U ‘A’ Rep Team for their championship win at the 2026 Kingston Thunder 10U ‘A’ Tournament.

The TPBA also wishes to commend all the TP 10U ‘A’ coaches, players, parents and family members for representing the core values of TPBA program with honour, dignity and professionalism both on and off the diamond at the weekend Kingston tourney.
