A Grand Ole Time Was Had By All at the Jays Care Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Celebrating the Completion of the Field of Dreams Revitalization Initiative at Christie Pits Diamond 2
WITH A MAGNANIMOUS $88,000 IN FUNDING FROM THE JAYS CARE FOUNDATION (MADE POSSIBLE BY TD BANK), THE TORONTO PLAYGROUNDS BASEBALL ASSOCIATION (TPBA) AND THE CITY OF TORONTO WERE ABLE TO REVITALIZE THE FIELD AT CHRISTIE PITS DIAMOND 2 FOR THE 2026 SEASON. THE JAYS CARE FINANCING HELPED REMEDY DIAMOND 2’s PRE-EXISTING WATER POOLING AND DRAINING ISSUES. IN ADDITION, THE FUNDING ALSO ALLOWED FOR THE REINVIGORATION OF THE FIELD, WITH THE INSTALLATION OF NEW DUGOUTS AND FAN FRIENDLY SEATING AREAS FOR THE SUPPORTERS OF COMMUNITY BASEBALL IN THE VICINITY OF CHRISTIE PITS AND BEYOND.
